Hi.. i can't decide whether to use a staff on my mesmer (and the upgrades) or a wand and focus. either would be obtained from a collector. help me out please :]

money isnt a problem (assume i can get any upgrades for the staff), and rarity is not a problem

so what exactly are the pros and cons that come with using a staff? versus a wand and focus?

hey i also use a mesmer.. and have been thinking the same thing.. i have a good gold staff with mods and stuff.. but i beleive that greater energy can be obtained with focus item and a wand. energy is espcially important with fast casting. my staff has +10 energy and an additional 4. my idol however by itself give 23 energy 5 armor but -1 energy regen. but i have not been able to find a good wand. so i switch between the 2 weapon sets. i do however think wand and focus item would be better ;p

If money and rarity aren't problems, then this isn't a problem. Ignore the staff vs wand/focus argument. Just add the stats of your wand/focus together and compare that with your staff. If you like the wand/focus stats better, then use them. Otherwise, use the staff.
